Tony's Jamaican Food is an absolute gem! We had a 5-star experience from start to finish. We shared a Jerk chicken, rice, beans, and veggie meal, and added the Jamaican sweet bread. The jerk chicken had great flavor, and everything was cooked to perfection. It was the first place we went to once we landed in Austin, TX on Valentine's Day 2025, and it did not disappoint. We highly recommend Tony's Jamaican Food for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Jamaican cuisine. Thanks, Ashley & Lindsey Head Visiting Austin, TX from San Diego, CA

Tony's Jamaican food has a nice outdoor space, with covered seating. I tried the curry chicken and the jerk chicken. I enjoyed that the meats were tender and had good flavor. I also appreciated that all meals come with rice and peas, veggies (cabbage, carrots), and plantains. I think for the price, it's a good deal. The staff were friendly too. There is some free street parking nearby.

Food tour ATX led me to Tony's while in search for some Caribbean grub in the area. What seemed to be a quiet day for the food truck location, I was able to grab a meal fairly quick. Decently priced and nicely portioned, I went with the small oxtail plate along with a patty & ginger beer. Combined all three came up to $28. Overall the oxtails were tender and fresh, however a tad bit small. Tony's meals come with cabbage, rice & beans, along with plantains which made for a filling meal. Wait time was minimum, service was good. I'm definitely be interested in visiting the brick & mortar location to see the vibes. The food truck has patio seating should you want to eat immediately rather than taking it home.

First time having Jamaican food in Austin, and was pleasantly surprised. I got the jerk chicken plate which came with 2 decently sized pieces (only one leg piece), with rice and beans, plantains, and some veggies. It was a well portioned meal for $13 and was seasoned well. My only critique is that the chicken tasted a LITTLE bit dry on the inside. There was plenty of sauce and seasoning on the outside. Maybe it's because I'm Pakistani and am used to eating halal chicken that's naturally more tender/juicy. But my friend and I came 10 minutes to close and was still met with decent service, and I can tell that the people running the truck are genuine hard workers.

This local food truck serves really good jamaican food at a conveninent location. Street parking only, and there are a few tables nearby. Food was cooked right then and there, so there was a little bit of a wait. We went early in the morning when it opened so they did not have their Beef Patties yet, be warned! Food we got: - oxtail large plate: oxtail was super tender, but I felt like it was a little small (4/5) - jerk chicken large plate: I was shocked to find out that I enjoyed this dish way more! The chicken was super tender and juicy! The flavor profile was perfect, came back for seconds (5/5) Personally, I felt like the portion was a little small for the price. The cabbage was delicious, but they were more rice heavy.
